NIN Live Archive

Good news for Nine Inch Nails fans. A giant torrent was released that contains 25 years of live performances. That website spent years seeking out and collecting bootlegs, a massive undertaking. I’ve only seen NIN twice, once on the Outside Tour with David Bowie and another time on the Fragility tour, and it’ll be so cool to hear recordings from so long ago.

New Nine Inch Nails album

The first single from NIN’s new album, Hesitation Marks, is available for listening on NIN.com. The full album is coming out September 3 and NIN will be playing several festivals this summer, followed by a full tour in the fall. Looks like the cover art is done by the same guy who did The Downward Spiral too.

After 4 years away, Nine Inch Nails are returning this summer with extensive touring. They’re going to play the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco in August, followed by an arena tour in the fall.

Looks like this is going to be a good year for music: new Skinny Puppy album in May, hopefully followed by a tour; new Download album in June; and NIN touring in the fall.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trailer

The trailer for the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was “leaked” recently. I haven’t read the books but I saw the original Swedish movies; The first movie was pretty good (the other two were kind of ‘meh’), but David Fincher’s version looks really badass. Plus there’s a killer cover of Immigrant Song by Trent Reznor and Karen O. The trailer was taken down but you can probably find it online somewhere.

[Edit 6.2.11] The official trailer is up now.

Pretty Hate Machine

The NIN Hotline has a detailed review of the Pretty Hate Machine remaster, written by a sound engineer. I can’t believe that album’s 22 years old now.
