Pantera Concerts Fails to Rock NZ Pensioner. After the show the man commented "Yeah, they were pretty loud I guess, but fuckin' Ratt is way louder, man."

Remember "All your base are belong to us"? Boy, that died out really fast, faster than "Wazzup" even. Thank god I didn't get one of these shirts or I'd be so February 2001. All the popular kids at school would laugh at me.

Woo! Blogger's finally working again. It goes down the one day this week that I actually have stuff to post. Aargh.

Some "scientists" are planning to clone Vlad the Impaler. I'd like to see them succeed, actually. I'd be pretty cool to have a Dracula clone roaming around the city, trying to adapt to modern life with hilarious consequences.

Good news: "The Matrix Reloaded" Officially Announced. I just hope it doesn't suck like most sequels. Come on guys, give us an "Empire Strikes Back", not a "Blair Witch 2".

Panquake is a little mod for Quake that gives you a 360 degree view. Try a field of view greater than 360 for a really trippy game.

Technology Exposes Cheating at U-Va. A professor at the University of Virginia wrote a program that searches for common phrases in his students' term papers, and it found 122 students who were cheating. So you UV students out there better watch out.

Went to "Senior Appreciation Night" at the bookstore. They were just trying to sell us stuff, class rings and diploma frames and all that. Yeah, I need a mahogany frame for my diploma so it'll look good when it's hanging on my cubicle wall. I got a free Class of 2001 mug though, that's handy.

Here's a little guerrilla warfare for you: print up some bumper stickers that say "I'm Changing the Climate!" and stick them on SUVs. Irvine's the perfect place to find Expeditions and Tahoes and Suburbans to tag.

Listen to Nine Inch Nails' new song Deep at Nin.com. It's from the Tombraider soundtrack. Yeah, I didn't believe it either. Trent must be hard up for cash or something. Luckily it's a pretty good song.

Things that piss me off: People who get to class early and sit on the end of the rows so that everyone else has to climb over them. These are the same people who get annoyed when someone climbs over them. Stupid fuckers, it's your own fault.

Scientific American has a good article about supercavitation. You take a torpedo or a submarine and you surround it with an envelope of gas. The water barely touches the object's surface, and that reduces drag so the object can travel very fast underwater. Cool stuff, although "supercavitation" sounds like something your dentist hates.

So working on Sunday wasn't as bad as I thought. The office was locked when I arrived at 12, so I was kind of hoping I could go home. But my boss arrived 5 minutes later. Nuts. He only wanted me to work 4 hours, so exactly at 4 I bolted, right in the middle of installing Windows NT. Nuts to that, I have better things to do. I got some boba on the way home, and then I studied more or less continuously until now.

Heh heh, my roommate's been playing a lot of lame, repetitive drum n' bass shit lately, so when his song ended I quickly clicked "play" on Merzbow's Rainbow Electronics. After about five minutes he left the room. If you've never heard any Merzbow songs, it's essentially electronically manipulated static, hissing, grinding, tape feedback, microphone hum, and noise. Heh heh heh.
