This blog won't be updated for a week or so. After I get back from SF I'm going to Yosemite for another few days. This is going to be so much fun.

5:03 PM |
We're off to San Francisco tomorrow. I've been playing Midtown Madness 2 a lot. See, I figure, if I hit the crest of every hill doing around 70, I can jump it, fly over a dozen or so cars, and land on the other side of the intersection unscathed. And that's using a 94 Maxima. I can't wait to try out my theory.

3:20 PM |
I'm done with finals! Finally. I'm so happy right now. Well, time to hit the bars for happy hour.

Going for a long drive and you want a book-on-tape to listen to? Download the entire audiobook (in mp3 format) of William Gibson reading his first novel Neuromancer. They're really low quality (24 kbps), but it's better than nothing. In addition, this site also has the Neuromancer graphic novel. It only covers the first third of Neuromancer though, I guess they never finished it. And if that's not enough, you can also download William Gibson's first 3 novels, as well as a collection of short stories.

Queen Elizabeth to Receive $1.4 Million Car.
Even better than the previous post, I can just imagine the queen sitting in her Bentley in the Buckingham Palace driveway making "vroommm vroommm" and tire screeching sounds and pretending to shift gears.

A Ferrari Showroom in Impoverished Indonesia????
My favorite quote is at the very end:

"It's not only (for) driving. They might put it in their garage and enjoy it."
I can just imagine some rich Indonesian fat cat sitting in his Ferrari in his driveway making "vroommm vroommm" sounds and pretending to shift gears.

News that doesn't surprise me: Another school shooting.

So you have a corpse lying in your house, rotting and stinking up the place? Cadaver Inc. will remove the corpse and clean up, quickly and affordably. Their services include corpse removal, murder scene clean-up, witness removal, and organ extraction. And for you recently laid off dot-commers, they're hiring.

I'm so proud of myself, I spent of most of the day studying. Went with my roommates to the alumni house to order our caps and gowns this afternoon. Both my roommates got a size medium cap. I had to order a large. How embarassing. I have a huge freak head.

The form for the cap and gown orders has an option to order extra tassels. I wanted to order 30 and wear them all at the same time, just to give the commencement ceremony people a hard time. That's how fucking hardcore I am, man.

I couldn't get back into a studying mood after my final earlier today. So I wasted my time instead. I went to 3 camera stores this afternoon, looking for a cool bag to use in San Francisco. I'm looking for something discreet, maybe like a messenger bag, that doesn't scream "photo geek." All the ones I saw were big, boxy things that were way more than I needed. Then I wasted the night too, watching tv, surfing the web, getting boba. I feel kind of guilty now. I'll make it up tomorrow, I promise.

I drive one of the most stolen cars in the US. Man, that's really gonna make it hard for my Mir contest. You should all pray my car doesn't get stolen, or there goes $100.

4:05 PM |
Free Tacos for Everyone! Now this is news. Taco Bell will give a free taco to everyone in the US if Mir hits a bullseye in the Pacific.

In fact, that's such a cool idea that I'm gonna have a similar contest. If Mir hits my car, I'm gonna give $100 to everyone in the US. Ah, what the hell, the US and Canada. Now, just hitting my car is far too easy. To make it more challenging, Mir needs to hit my car while I drive it around town. So start thinking about what you're gonna do with that $100, cause the odds are in your favor!

So, I didn't get the job at Canon. Well, I didn't want to work there anyway. Probably sucks there. Anyway, at least I don't have to work during spring break.

Speaking of which, I'm going to San Francisco for spring break. We're gonna drive up there Saturday and hang out for a few days. Hit the cool record stores, wander around, take pictures, freak out the squares. I can't wait.

8:43 AM |
I can't believe I'm up before 9:00. Well, I have an astronomy final at 10:30. It should be easy, but I'd feel guilty if I didn't get up early and study.

Starbucks To Begin Sinister 'Phase Two' Of Operation

Though the coffee chain's specific plans are not known, existing Starbucks franchises across the nation have been locked down with titanium shutters across all windows. In each coffee shop's door hangs the familiar Starbucks logo, slightly altered to present the familiar mermaid figure as a cyclopean mermaid whose all-seeing eye forms the apex of a world-spanning pyramid.

Steve's Digicams reviewed the Canon PowerShot S300. It's essentially a 3x zoom version of the S100, which is still one of the smallest digital cameras I've seen.

In the mood for a twisted children's story? How about Pooh Goes Apeshit?

"Christopher Robin, selfish prat that he was, didn't quite fit in the hole Pooh had dug, so instead of making it wider he had decided to hack Christopher Robin's legs off."
Ah, good ol' Pooh...

Abandonware are old computer games that aren't available in stores anymore. Websites have sprung up that have abandonware for download, although it's illegal. The website operators argue that since the games aren't being sold anymore, the game companies aren't losing money anyway. Sounds reasonable to me.

Something that I never noticed before: I'm right-handed but I eat potato chips with my left hand. Just for the hell of it I ate a chip with my right hand and it felt really weird. I almost missed my mouth completely.

To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Running Red Lights, we have a new design! It was difficult coming up with a design related to the title of this blog without resembling a website for traffic school, so I decided on this instead. Now we have big ass pictures to slow down the site even more! Mua-ha ha ha!(evil laugh)

I haven't gotten around to changing the archive index page yet. I figure, nobody looks at the old posts anyways. If it looks funny or anything, please let me know.
