I have no idea if this is for real or a joke, but it's still the funniest thing I've read about George W. Apparently he gives weird nicknames to people.

"Internal communications are in turmoil," confesses a high-ranking Bush aide known as Frenchy, though he doesn't know why. "The president says get me Knuckles on the line, or where's The Eskimo, or let Bones and uptown handle this," he laments, "and nobody has a clue as to who he's talking about."

I first "heard" John Cage's song 4'33" in an arts class I took. If you've never heard of it, the performer goes to a piano, opens the lid, and does absolutely nothing for 4 minutes and 33 seconds. Then he closes the lid and leaves. That's it, that's the entire song. Apparently the song was supposed to be the noises the audience makes and the sounds of the surrounding environment. I thought John Cage was a pretty clever guy. The real story behind 4'33" is much deeper though, as shown in The Sounds of Silence.

I'm eating steak and onion flavored potato chips right now. Surprisingly, they actually taste like steak and onion.

50 Things You Never Knew About the Original Star Wars Trilogy. I didn't know Nick Nolte was originally up for the part of Han Solo. Or that the word "Ewok" is never used in the movies. You learn something new every day.

More funny supermodel stuff: Supermodel Banned From Shop?. What kind of shop is members-only, anyway? And what kind of people shop at those kinds of shops?

A supermodel's worst nightmare: Three Jailed for Forcefeeding Fast Food. (Kids, eating disorders are no laughing matter).

This site has some excellent panorama pictures of Tokyo. Each month has a picture, going back to 1996. It's a really cool idea, I should do something similar here in Irvine.

I've probably blogged this before, so here it is again! How to Drive Like A Moron. My favorite tip: When driving at night with a burned out headlight, drive so that the working headlight is in the middle of the lane and to other drivers, you look like a motorcycle.

A video of Skinny Puppy performing Testure at Doomsday is now available. Here's 2 faster servers: server 1 and server 2.

At Bentspace.com you can type out an email that is beamed into outer space through a radio telescope. The idea is that NASA shouldn't have the right to speak for all mankind. I know exactly what I'm going to send: All Your Base Are Belong To Us. (Sorry, I couldn't resist).

Love their "disclaimer": "Bentspace is only responsible for sending the messages, and not for any consequence as a result of the messages that are sent."

My biggest fear about these assemble-it-yourself caskets is that it might fall apart while you're carrying a corpse inside it. Apparently it can "be easily assembled in 15 minutes without the use of any tools." Hmmm....some people have a hard time assembling a bookshelf from Ikea.

Clinton Vaguely Disappointed By Lack of Assassination Attempts

"He just kept staring out the windows, first at that little hill behind the Oval Office, then at the hedge in the Rose Garden, as if willing a lone gunman to appear. Saddest thing you ever saw."

Last night I went to Alejandro's for a midnight snack. As I got closer I could see a police helicopter up ahead, its searchlight moving around. I thought there might be trouble, but I kept going. Then about a block from Alejandro's I passed about a dozen police cars with their lights flashing and everything. They were all around a van, and I saw cops walking around. I got the fuck out of there before the shooting started. That's the most exciting thing that happened all weekend.

So everybody's probably seen All Your Base Are Belong To Us by now. The guys who made the song, The Laziest Men on Mars, also have another hilarious one, using dialogue from the shitty game Daikatana over 70s porno music. Brilliant stuff. I want to do something like this.

IGN played with the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo and they confirm that it lives up to the hype. I have to get a Playstation 2 now.
