Microsoft Announces Office 10 Will Cure Cancer. "It doesn't matter if a user is developing a presentation in Power Point or working on a spreadsheet in Excel. All they have to do is go the Tools menu and select the Cure Cancer option and it will give them a choice of which cancer they would like cured."

I'm not a big anime fan, but I have to admit, these hardsuit costumes are very cool. No one's going to pick on me anymore when I wear them to school! [ From Slashdot ]

LA Weekly has a good article about Yuen Wo-Ping, who choreographed the fight scenes in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Matrix. One thing bugged me when I was watching Crouching Tiger: there were some dudes in the front of the theater who thought all the wire-work (where the actors "fly" through the air) was absolutely hilarious, and expressed their thoughts out loud. It really ruined the mood. I guess they were easily amused.

Heh heh, the Ten Greatest White Trash TV Heroes. They forgot the entire cast of Roseanne though. On a similar note, there's a poinsettia in a Heineken bottle vase in our living room. If that doesn't scream white trash, I don't know what does.

I love living in L.A. On Sunday we were getting ripped off for a Christmas tree in 80 degree weather, I was wearing a t-shirt and the air conditioning was on. I feel justified in laughing at people in regions with blizzards or whatever. Heh heh.

Soldier AWOL in Teenage Girl's Closet. ...a search of the cramped closet revealed a neatly-kept bed, a cache of canned food and a Bible. Geez, what a fucking boy scout. Must've been a big closet, I can barely fit canned food and a Bible in my closet, much less a whole bed too.

I went down to Irvine last night to watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with the gang. It was such a cool movie, I can't believe it's only showing on a few screens right now. The fighting scenes were incredible and the plot was the best I've seen in a long time. I especially like how all the characters, even the bad guys, have likable qualities. You feel sympathetic for all of them. I'm glad they didn't dub the movie or anything stupid like that either.
