I just got back from the Videodrome showing at the student center. Very weird movie. James Woods getting a video tape inserted in his stomach. Doesn't get much weirder than that. I can't believe it only got an R rating when it was released in 1982.

At first I thought How To Blend In was good for a few laughs, nothing more. But throughout the day, every time I thought of the pictures I started cracking up. It's a hilarious idea. These two dudes go around town imitating funny-looking people on the street. Damn, I love British comedy.

Hmmm...I was looking at my blog at work and I noticed the text in the boxes on the right is way too small. Of course, my work computer's resolution is set to 1280x1024. My computer at home is at 1152x864 and the text looks fine. Anyone else think the text is too small? Let me know, along with the resolution you're using.

Jebus Christ! Someone actually bought a Playstation 2 for $14,999! I don't know whether to pity the buyer or praise the seller. My friend Jason said he and his brother got 4 PS2s this morning at Target. He's gonna make a killing selling them on eBay.

I'm back from the Aquabats show. It was so much fun, I'm glad I went even though I shouldn't have. I have an astronomy midterm tomorrow, so I was going to study all night, but I decided, fuck it, it's the Aquabats, man. Anyway, they rocked. They sounded incredible live. All my favorites were played, Story of Nothing, Martian Girl, Playdough, Super Rad, and the new song Pizza Day. When they were setting up their equipment they were wearing white jumpsuits and ridiculous wigs. It was so cheesy it was cool.

I think me and my friend Dave were the oldest people there. I'm positive nobody was over 16, besides the band. I'm getting old. I can't keep up with these kids anymore.

When you wear headphones, do you run the cable under your shirt to keep it out of the way? This shirt was specifically designed with that in mind, as it has a cool porthole in the middle you can put your headphone cable through. Of course, you could also cut a hole in your shirt yourself, but that just makes you look poor and cheap. Xlarge also has jackets and backpacks with portholes. Now they just need pants with a porthole over the crotch and they're all set.

If you haven't heard, Stephen King was releasing his latest novel serially over the web. Payment was based on the honor system, and if less than 75% of people paid he wouldn't release any more parts. Well, people have been paying, cause he's releasing the fourth part.

I think the whole don't-release-more-unless-people-pay thing is a good idea, but it probably only works because King's famous. If some unknown writer tried the same thing people would tell him to fuck off, gimme the other parts.

Here's a very cool article about taking pictures at 1250 pictures per second. You just use a regular SLR camera and a bunch of mirrors. I think I might try this out if I have time.

This article says that Napster actually helped Radiohead's Kid A reach number 1 on the charts. Mp3s of songs on the album were available months ago, yet when the album was actually released it still reached number 1. Apparently mp3s are similar to radioplay, so Radiohead gets lots of exposure. Very cool.

Well, I had a lame weekend. I have an assignment due Tuesday so I've been hacking all weekend. Most of the weekend anyway. Then tomorrow they're fumigating my apartment so I have to stay away from 12:00 noon till 7:00 or so. I don't know why they didn't fumigate during the summer. They had all summer to do it. Morons.
