Nice, I got my Track 10 CD single in the mail today. It's the legendary missing track from Skinny Puppy's Last Rights album. It's a limited edition CD they were selling at the Dresden show. And now it's mine, all mine! Ha ha ha!

Well, summer school's over. I'm going back home for a few days. Then I'm coming back on Saturday to pack up and move to the other side of the complex to my new apartment on Sunday. Next week's Welcome Week too, so I'm gonna be busy "welcoming" the freshmen to UCI. Heh heh.

Woman's sex toy sparks police alert. Good lord, how embarassing. "Of course, it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We have to use the infinitive, a dildo, never your dildo." If you don't know where that's from you're not on my cool list.

The Artec I-Jungle mp3 player looks very sleek. The review says the audio quality is good too. Unfortunately, the maximum storage size is only 96 mb. What's with the name anyway? At least it's not translucent pink or whatever.

I have to make 7 prints and mount them by Wednesday for my photo class. Hmmmm...I'm tempted to take the negatives to a photo lab and ask them to make enlargements, but my teacher would probably notice.

Metallica's Lawyer Asks 11 Prominent Institutions to Ban Napster Use. In California they sent letters to UCLA and UC Berkeley. What, UCI's not prominent enough for Metallica, huh? It's ok for us to use Napster cause we're not prestigious, huh? Fuck 'em then. Their last few albums sucked anyway.

Jesus christ, some company called Foveon has a prototype 16 megapixel digital camera. It has about twice the resolution of 35 mm film. Now if only they'd make an affordable digital SLR camera, like something that won't cost more than a small car. More about this at ZDNet.

This article about train travel reminded me of just how cool trains are. Just sit back and watch the landscape roll by, leave the driving to someone else. One of these days I'm gonna take a cross-country train trip, packing nothing except a change of clothes and my camera. I'll wander around until I get bored, shooting pictures of everything, and then I'll find a way to get back home.

Hmmm...there's a party going on upstairs, and...uh...we weren't invited. Time to take the law into my own hands.

I went back home for a few hours today. Picked up my new glasses. They're a little stronger so everything looks a little distorted. Also went to the Getty museum and shot a roll of film. It seemed like everyone there who had an SLR camera also had a huge lens. And I mean huge, like 2-liter bottle of Pepsi size lenses. All I have is a dinky little 50 mm lens. Ah well, I guess the important thing is how you use it.
